Delivery Costing

Logistech uses leading technology to provide detailed and accurate analysis of supply chains. We also have access to development resources for data manipulation and bespoke solutions.

Infor Network Design is used to build mathematical models that reflect real-life supply chains. Network Designer contains an optimiser and can help you make decisions regarding the current cost and service levels by customer and product group; site selection and location for manufacturing and distribution facilities; supplier selection; transport mode and carrier evaluation; inventory location and customer serving methods. Network Designer can be used to model CO2 emissions as well as costs.

We use the Paragon system to establish the vehicle fleet required for a particular task. Paragon is the UK's leading routing and scheduling package and we are licensed to use all versions. Road databases are available for all parts of the world and we have carried out Paragon projects all over Europe and in South East Asia.

Technology

Logistech have invested in Geographic Information System data and tools for its analysis and presentation. For example, maps of cost to serve by area or customer demand patterns can be plotted with MapInfo or MapPoint.

We have developed a model that takes key statistics from Paragon, such as the inter-drop mileages and speeds, and calculates the cost of individual deliveries. This is invaluable when carrying out customer profitability studies or when constructing rates tables. It can also be used to calculate the CO2 emissions associated with deliveries according to their individual characteristics.
