Logistech uses leading technology to provide detailed and accurate analysis
of supply chains. We also have access to development resources
for data manipulation and bespoke solutions.
CAPS Supply
Chain Designer is used to build network models that reflect real-life supply
chains.
Supply Chain Designer contains an optimiser and can help you make decisions regarding the
current cost and service levels by customer and product group;
site selection and location for manufacturing and distribution
facilities; supplier selection; transport mode and carrier
evaluation; inventory
location and customer serving methods. Supply Chain
Designer can be used to model CO2 emissions as well as costs.
We use the Paragon system to establish the vehicle fleet
required for a particular task. Paragon is the UK's
leading routing and scheduling package and we are
licensed to use all versions. Road databases are
available for all parts of the world and we have carried
out Paragon projects all over Europe and in South East
Asia.
We have developed a model that takes key statistics from
Paragon, such as the inter-drop mileages and speeds, and
calculates the cost of individual deliveries. This is
invaluable when carrying out customer profitability
studies or when constructing rates tables.
It can also be used to calculate the CO2 emissions
associated with deliveries according to their individual
characteristics.
Logistech have invested in GIS Data
(Geographic Information System) and tools including MapInfo for its
analysis and presentation. For example, the image (right) shows a cost
to serve margin by area.
