Logistech have practical experience as well as considerable
consulting and modelling knowledge. Although we work with
leading technology we consider ourselves pragmatic people.
Phil Gibbs
Phil spent 12 years
at Exel Logistics, where his responsibilities included
modelling distribution strategy, improving existing
distribution operations and supporting proposals for new
business development. He then joined KPMG Management
Consulting, carrying out assignments for leading
contract distribution companies, retailers and
manufacturers, including logistics strategy reviews,
litigation support and due diligence investigations.
Phil became a
director of Logistech in 1994 and is now the Managing
Director. He has been using the CAPS Logistics Supply
Chain Designer on a wide range of projects since 1997,
including complex pan European networks, and conducts
Supply Chain Designer training courses in the UK. He
has been a hands-on user of Paragon for 12 years.
Jon
Hopkinson
Jon completed a
masters degree in distribution and joined Touche Ross
Planned Warehousing in 1988. He was involved in
many projects covering logistics strategy, operational
methods, warehouse strategy, IT strategy and contracting
out distribution. During this period he gained
extensive experience in transport modelling techniques,
spreadsheet modelling and database analysis.
Jon has worked with
Logistech since 1994 and has carried out assignments for
major retailers, manufacturers and contract distribution
companies on the continent and in the UK, many of which
included transport planning using Paragon software.
He is also an experienced user of CAPS Supply Chain
Designer and an accredited trainer.
Geoff
McGuire
Geoff started his career with
Rover Group in production planning and management, culminating
in responsibility for layout design and material handling. He then had 15 years
experience with MMM Consultancy Group and Kurt Salmon
Associates, carrying out assignments for manufacturers,
retailers and the public sector. His projects included supply
chain strategy development, warehouse design, transport
modelling and business
process reviews.
Geoff has been working with Logistech since 2004, and is skilled
in using Paragon and CAPS. He has carried out a number of fleet
sizing projects, modelling such diverse operations as prisoner
movements, white goods and liquid tankers. He has also worked
with contract distribution companies on operational reviews and
responses to tenders.
